A Legacy in Portraits: Celebrating Hazel’s Senior Year with the Wells Family
It’s hard to believe how fast time has flown! We recently had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Ashley and her beautiful family back to the studio for Hazel’s senior portrait session—and what a milestone this was. Watching these girls grow up has been such a joy for us, and this session was a full-circle moment filled with love, laughter, and legacy.
Hazel, now a high school senior, will soon be heading off to college. She’s blossomed into such a poised and accomplished young woman—and quite the competitive bike racer, too! Her energy and focus came through so powerfully during her session, especially as we captured both elegant portraits and dynamic action shots with her bike. We wouldn't be surprised if we’re cheering her on in the Olympics someday!
Younger sister Harriott, now 14, brought her signature grace and sweetness, and of course, Ashley looked absolutely radiant. There’s something incredibly special about the bond this family shares, and it’s always an honor to document it.
We began with a classic black-and-white indoor session, highlighting each of these incredible women—Jan, Ashley, Hazel, and Harriott—and their individual strength, beauty, and love for one another. Then came the moment—the oil portrait pose that took our breath away. We always strive for perfection in every session, but this one truly felt like magic.
We continued the celebration of Hazel’s senior year outdoors in our garden, where she wore her green and blue dresses with effortless elegance. When she stepped out in her summer dress and hat, we all paused—there she was, the same little girl we’ve photographed through the years, now all grown up.
Ashley hasn’t missed a single milestone, and we’re so grateful to have walked this journey with her. And to Jan—what a legacy you’ve built. Cheers to you!
