A Story We’ve Been Honored to Capture
There’s something incredibly meaningful about photographing a family over time—and this is one of those families that has been a joy to reconnect with through the years.
We’ve had the opportunity to capture different seasons of their lives, and each time feels both familiar and new. That’s one of the things we value most—walking into a session with a shared history, while also documenting who they are right now.
This session felt like a beautiful reflection of that.
Photographed in our garden, the setting gave us the perfect space to create a mix of individual portraits and full family groupings. It’s a place we know well, and that familiarity allows us to focus less on the surroundings and more on what matters most—the people in front of the camera.
What stands out most is the ease. There’s a comfort that comes from working together over time—no pressure, no overthinking—just a natural rhythm that lets moments unfold as they are. That familiarity translates into images that feel effortless, genuine, and lasting.
And then there’s the quiet realization of how much has changed.
Seeing the kids now, grown and stepping into themselves, standing alongside their parents in a different way than before—it’s subtle, but it’s significant. These are the kinds of shifts that aren’t always obvious in the moment, but become meaningful when you look back.
This is what makes photographing families over time so important. It’s not about a single session—it’s about preserving the story as it continues to unfold.
And being trusted to capture that is something we never take lightly.
