A Timeless Celebration: Emily & Luke's Beautiful Summer Wedding

At Hayes & Fisk Photography, we cherish the opportunity to capture unforgettable moments, and Emily and Luke's wedding was no exception. For us, this event held a special significance—Mary, our long-time friend of over a decade, entrusted us to photograph her only son’s wedding. It was an honor to be a part of this beautiful chapter in their lives.

The day began at Emily and Luke’s new townhouse, where champagne flowed as the bridesmaids finished up their hair and makeup. The excitement was palpable as we captured the candid moments, from shared laughs to heartfelt conversations. Emily slipped into her stunning gown with the help of her mother, and we were off to the historic Cannon Chapel at The University of Richmond to meet the groomsmen.

Despite a few hiccups—including a bus without air conditioning on what felt like the hottest day of the year—everyone’s spirits remained high. Even with the 90-100 degree heat, Luke and his groomsmen were all smiles as they arrived, ready to greet guests and wait for the bride.

The ceremony itself was flawless, a testament to the love and joy shared between the couple. After exchanging vows, we had the opportunity to capture all the important photos before heading to the stunning Hermitage Country Club for the reception.

At the country club, we finished the remaining bridal party portraits outside before the evening’s festivities began. Introductions led seamlessly into the couple’s first dances, and though Emily wasn’t one to seek the spotlight, she gracefully made it through her emotional father-daughter dance.

The night continued with a burst of energy as the traditional Serbian dancing began. The music filled the room, and everyone, from the bridal party to family friends, joined in the celebration. Emily and Luke spent the rest of the evening catching up with loved ones, while their guests danced and laughed, filling the night with joy and love.

All too soon, the evening came to an end as Emily and Luke made their grand exit, waving goodbye to their family and friends before riding off into their future together.
