Capturing Love in the Mountains: Wynne & Ethan Engagement Session

We were elated when Wynne Barsanti called to share the exciting news of her engagement to Ethan Steen! As the family photographers who have watched the Barsanti children—Wynne, Blaze, and Coleman—grow up in front of our cameras, we were thrilled to document this special milestone. Capturing their engagement session at Wintergreen Resort made the experience even more memorable.

For the session, we headed to the Plunge Overlook, a favorite location of ours known for its breathtaking mountain and valley views. The overlook had recently undergone some much-needed updates, including improvements to the trail leading to the pinnacle. The crisp, cloudless day provided the perfect backdrop for Wynne and Ethan’s session. After a scenic 20-minute hike, we reached the end of the trail where the stunning landscape unfolded before us.

We explored various angles and settings, creating one incredible portrait after another. The couple’s favorite pose featured them leaning on each other, gazing into the distance with the sun highlighting their silhouettes. This iconic shot was later transformed into a stunning canvas portrait, displayed prominently at their wedding reception on December 7th. Positioned on a table adorned with photos and cherished memories, it perfectly symbolized the love and journey they share.

After our adventure on the mountain, we returned to Wynne’s family home on the golf course for a quick outfit change and to capture additional portraits. These images beautifully showcased the charm of their mountain house and their shared love of the outdoors. A close-up shot of the couple’s radiant smiles was also featured at their reception, alongside photos of their beloved dogs and a unique book of ski resort maps—a nod to their adventurous spirits.

Spending time with Wynne and Ethan was a joy. Their connection was evident in every laugh, every handheld, and every moment they shared with us. Seeing their love firsthand reinforced how perfectly matched they are.
