Cheryl and Andre's Enchanting Engagement Session at Maymount Park

Meeting Cheryl and Andre was a truly wonderful experience, and from the moment we connected, it was clear that their bond was something special. True love often appears when least expected, and for Cheryl and Andre, this sentiment holds true. Their love story began in an unexpected place—Cheryl was the client, and Andre, her contractor. From that moment, their journey has been filled with joy and happiness.

Our first interaction with Cheryl and Andre came through a referral from The Jefferson Hotel. From the initial phone call, we were struck by Cheryl's clarity and determination. She knew exactly what she wanted: nothing but the best.

For their engagement session, we chose Maymount Park, a location that boasted the most vibrant blooms and lush greenery for early March. The park was a perfect backdrop, enhancing each moment with its natural beauty. As we moved through different spots in the park, Cheryl and Andre's outfit changes added a dynamic touch to the session, each one more stunning than the last. The connection between them was palpable; the sparkle in Andre’s eyes and his unwavering smile whenever he looked at Cheryl were heartwarming. His adoration for her was evident and infectious.

The highlight of the session came when Cheryl and Andre changed into their formal attire. Instantly, we knew this would be the look for their main portrait. The images captured during this time were brimming with love and admiration. Andre's handmade jacket was a standout piece, the most exquisite we’ve seen. Jamie even remarked that he would love to wear it himself. Cheryl's affinity for the color blue, a favorite of Jamie’s as well, made us feel like kindred spirits.

As the session progressed, each pose and each image seemed to surpass the last in beauty and emotion. By the end, we were reluctant to put our cameras down, enchanted by the ever-increasing beauty of the moments we were capturing. Cheryl’s custom handmade album, brimming with her personality and our finest work, was a testament to the day's success.

Back at the studio, narrowing down the favorites was a challenge because each image told a compelling story. Yet, one portrait stood out, taking our breath away with its stunning composition. The columns and pergolas provided a perfect backdrop, fitting seamlessly into the envisioned space in Cheryl and Andre’s home. The finished 50x70 Masterpiece Oil Painting exceeded all expectations, stunning us with its beauty. This portrait will be unveiled to Andre for the first time as they enter their reception in the Empire Room—a moment we are excited to capture.

We look forward to photographing Cheryl's formal bridal portrait on the grand staircase of The Jefferson Hotel. Topping the oil painting might seem impossible, but we are confident in capturing more magical moments.
