A Senior Portrait Session Filled with Personality and Style

With a new school year about to begin, senior season is officially here! It is an exciting time filled with anticipation, big decisions, and many “last firsts.” Senior portraits offer a chance to pause in the middle of it all and capture who each student is at this important moment in life.

This recent senior session at the Hayes & Fisk studio was filled with beautiful colors, varied settings, and plenty of personality. Her outfit choices allowed us to create a gallery that ranged from casual and spirited to soft and timeless.

Her William & Mary T-shirt and navy skirt brought a relaxed, youthful feel to the session. The casual look worked beautifully both outdoors and with one of our hand-painted studio backdrops. These portraits feel natural and confident while also celebrating the exciting opportunities that come after graduation.

Two pink dresses added completely different looks to her gallery. The shorter patterned dress complemented the vibrant pink blooms and rich greenery throughout the garden, creating portraits that feel colorful, cheerful, and full of life. The soft pink-and-white striped dress looked beautiful among the white hydrangeas and surrounding foliage. Those images have a quieter, more classic quality while still feeling fresh and natural.

One of our favorite things about this session is the amount of variety we were able to create right here at the Hayes & Fisk studio. From traditional indoor portraits to relaxed images along the wooden fence and colorful photographs throughout the gardens, each setting added something different without taking the focus away from the senior herself. Her warm smile and easy confidence connected all the looks and made the entire collection feel cohesive and personal.

Senior year passes quickly, but portraits preserve this season long after graduation day. As students prepare to return to school, now is a wonderful time for families of seniors to begin thinking about portraits and the styles, outfits, and meaningful details they may want to include.
