Senior Portrait Session - Rosen Family

cIt feels like just yesterday we captured Ethan’s senior portraits back in 2020, though it somehow seems longer than just four years. Next year, with only one son left at home, the Rosen household will feel a lot quieter. Before we know it, we’ll be photographing Ben’s high school senior portraits.

Will’s life has been all about football, and hopefully one day we’ll be sitting in the stands of an NFL stadium cheering him on. It was fitting to create the majority of his portraits on the football field and in the gym at Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Virginia.

We began Will’s session on the football field, capturing him with his letterman jacket and championship rings. We ended this location with some striking wide-angle shots featuring Trinity’s crest at the center of the field. Next, we moved to the balcony area of the gym for a pose or two overlooking the football field. Once finished there, we headed inside to highlight the massive workout benches and training equipment that Will used daily to enhance his strength and agility. With the right lighting, these elements provided an amazing background of colors and textures, creating the mood and feeling we aimed for. We wrapped up the football segment of his session with a few spectacular shots in the locker room.

Afterward, we returned to the studio to create a series of complementary portraits of Will to coordinate with the ones we created for Ethan. We concluded the session with Will in a sharp suit and tie, which will be featured in a large canvas portrait to hang next to Ethan’s in their home. We look forward to completing this triptych when Ben graduates high school.

Jen and Mitch are slowly nearing the end of their 18 summers with all three of their boys, but with our help, they haven’t missed a single milestone or Christmas QuickTake. Documenting and preserving these precious moments is truly the best way to show their children that their lives matter.
