Watson Senior Portait
We we thrilled when Beth called us to schedule Laura’s Senior Portrait Session. We are honored to have the opportunity to help the Watson Family document this major milestone as Laura graduates from high school. It seems like only yesterday we were photographing Beth and Rick’s wedding and now we are helping them create their family’s visual history with their second daughter’s senior portrait. Our goal for this session was to create something unique for Laura that would also complement her sister Katie’s portrait from just a couple of years ago. Watching these girls grow up in front of our cameras has been an incredible experience. We are very grateful for these opportunities to capture such special times in the lives of our Hayes & Family clients.
Laura is such a beautiful girl, not only in looks but spirit and soul, too. Over the years we have witnessed firsthand her growth and development and we are excited for her as she soon heads off to college to begin the next chapter in her life. We knew when we got the call from Beth that this would be a bittersweet session for us all.
Keeping her sister’s session in mind for their family album we started when the girls were born, we made sure to create poses for Laura that would complement her sisters but also highlight Laura’s personality and spirit. This will be the final chapter in the album, as this session brings it full circle.
We began the session indoors with her drape pose for the yearbook and then with her fabulous formal red dress. Changing into jeans and a casual black top, we headed outdoors to the gazebo to complete complementary poses to her sister’s. Then we finished with the long grey fence wall. Photographing Laura was a breeze, as over the years she has come to trust that we will not only make her look amazing but complete her high school session with speed and accuracy.
We have enjoyed documenting the Watson family over the decades and look forward to the next chapters in the girls’ lives with weddings and then the next generation of Watsons. As we always say, you only get 18 summers, and someday the girls’ families will relish in the fact that their parents we so diligent in documenting these milestones and preserving these memories for a lifetime and beyond.
