Turochy Senior Portrait Session
When Lori and Ryan called to schedule Sam’s Senior Portrait Session, we couldn’t believe it was time for him to graduate. It seems like not that long ago we were photographing their wedding. We have been present for each and every major milestone of their three boy’s lives, so we were really looking forward to photographing Sam’s senior portraits. As we did with his two older siblings, we wanted to capture not only great expressions but also a natural and last memory of this wonderful time in his life.
It is not always to get boys to enjoy themselves in front of the camera, but Sam was an absolute champ. We had a plan for the session and Sam helped us move through with ease. Since we were coordinating these images with his brothers’, we had a vision and knew the exact sizes for our final portraits.
We began the session with Sam’s tux pose for the yearbook. We like to get this traditional pose over with at the beginning before we transition into the more casual shots. Next, we headed out to our gazebo where we captured Sam in shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes. This was a similar image to what we had done for his brothers. After a few shots, he changed into a blue Hawaiian-style shirt, khaki shorts, and flip-flops. This relaxed look really helped Sam’s personality come through. After that, Sam changed again and this time a dressier look in a light blue button-down, always a favorite look. Sam lives for soccer, so we then captured a few shots in her soccer uniform. Finally, just for fun, he brought his athletic shorts and favorite blanket. This is the exact kind of thing we would see Sam in if we were to visit their home at any given money of the day!
Lastly, a Hayes & Fisk senior session would not be complete without a timeless black-and-white portrait. This was Lori’s favorite portrait because she said that he looked so handsome and all grown up.
