Senior and Family Portrait Session

We love this combo Senior and Family Portrait Session. This time of year we are all reminded of what is most important and this is family. Pictures help us capture the memories of all the good times spent together. Everyone’s lives are so busy so turning this senior portrait session into an opportunity for family pictures we an easy decision.

Danielle selected their attire and color palette to perfectly compliment their new home and its decor. She also chose the front two-story foyer for the location, so it would be visible to anyone visiting their home. This portrait will serve as a constant reminder of their happy family as their children go off to college.

We started the session with Andrew’s senior portraits in the garden with a variety of classic looks. Andrew was fantastic to photograph and enjoyed the speed of our photographic process so much so that he almost forgot we were actually taking pictures! Brianna joined her brother for a few poses in our gazebo. We created matching poses that would look great to be displayed side by side.

Our favorite moments of this session, and Danielle’s favored moment too, were captured when they were just hanging out together. A moment in time when they both were candidly laughing at each other and enjoying their time together. These are moments rarely captured, but oh so loved.

The overcast lighting was a great base of exposure and with our additive lighting techniques, we were able to create the feeling of sunlight and warmth in all images while trying to beat the fast-diminishing evening light.
